Omega Math has become a primary source for students of all ages to discover the enjoyment of learning Math.

The online math courses were developed and written by Nancy Parham. Graphic design, animation and landscaping of the sites are done by Rick Parham. Our administrative office is located on the California central coast in a small beach town named Los Osos. We are just a few minutes from San Luis Obispo.

Mission: Our primary mission is to educate students with the skills and perspectives needed for understanding and participating responsibly and creatively in a complex world.

About the Instructor:
Nancy Parham started out at a Community College where she earned an Associates of Science in Math and Science. She received her Bachelors degree in Mathematics, and then continued on to earn her graduate degree in Pure Mathematics and a second in Teaching Mathematics.

When Ms. Parham first started teaching, she found there were many topics that students just did not understand with one lecture. She began writing supplemental booklets for her students. Each semester the booklets would be sent home with the students. The students would return to class and let Ms. Parham know where they got lost. Ms. Parham would insert more examples at those points, and send the booklets home again with the students from the next semester. As student asked questions, she would realize a more efficient way to present the concepts and update the booklets. These booklets have been used for the basis of the online math courses.

Today, thousands of adults and youths have benefited from the online courses and have been able to advance in school and move forward toward their goals. Nancy Parham has been an instructor of Mathematics and Computer Science since 1989. She has taught at Community Colleges as well as the University level. Her range of Math instruction is: Basic Math, all levels of Algebra, Calculus and Finite Mathematics. She currently teaches Math and Computer Science at a California State University.

Each year Ms. Parham has excellent evaluations from students and faculty alike. Students often comment on how delighted they are with her unique teaching methods and claim they understand math for the first time in their lives.

About the Graphic Designer:
Rick Parham has worked on the online courses since 1996. His art and design ability has added an immeasurable amount of enrichment to the lessons and sites. The animations that Rick has added to many of the lessons has aided students in understanding very difficult concepts.
